We always believe that having a great vision, laying out a brilliant strategy often wins the game. The businesses are fragmented today. A strong production of interior systems of the cars does not mean that the car will launch within the set up.

              Logistics is an ocean that can take you as deep as you dive and you won't even realize that you are stumbling around the same shore. For a lay man, diving into the world which transports the raw materials  and components essential for producing their house wares, daily cooking products is a last thought. Many a times people don't venture around the business that takes care of delivering Christmas gifts to your daughter working overseas or sending valentine days cards to your friends in another state. Even for somebody who is a connoisseur in operations, exploring  the modes of carriers of parcel, less than truck or part truck load and understanding the specifics is like diving off a cliff into waters that could contain a million terminologies and concepts.There are many parameters that change over time which need to be considered for the last mile delivery and of course, customer delight. For instance, if the boxes are bulky, loose or compact, the carrier size is changed accordingly. We are all aware of the parcel services because of the e-commerce industry creating an unbeatable spot in a consumer's mind. The Parcel services are fragmented into many third party logistics which eventually brings you your awaited parcel of limited edition cell phones and that last stock of dress from the online portal. 
        Less than truck load is very much similar to the parcel service and the difference between the two modes of carriage has become smaller day by day thanks to the  variety of service offerings by parcel services. The most basic differentiator in a part truck or less than truck load is when the freight transportation  does not require an entire truck. The freight carried in this case are prices according to the weight, it's commodity class along with the assigned routes. It typically operates in a complex Hub & Spoke network with consolidated or non-consolidated points and carries multiple freight for different customers in single trucks.The less than truck load carriers are expensive per unit than the full truck load. 
               The full truck load is when an entire truck is contracted for direct point-to-point service. Such a truck load is priced per kilometers for the assigned routes regardless of the size of the freight provided it fits within the vehicles. It is usually a homogeneous cargo or same class of commodity which is transported to a single customer. Bulk cargo is one such freight that is carried using a full truck load carrier. Bulk cargo is the freight that is unpacked or stowed loose on vehicles, in a tank or hold without specific packaging and handled by pump, scoop, conveyor or shove.
